This past week we had the pleasure of co-hosting a lovely spring Wine & Food Pairing Event showcasing some of our best spring wines and delicious finger food combinations. We brought together 9 different wines, each thoughtfully coupled with a specific dish of it’s own. We searched high and low to find the perfect swordfish and duck for these recipes, and although we came close to not finding any suitable duck, we lucked out and found some at this delightful little shop in Victoria called The Root Cellar (LOVED that place) and the Red Barn Market in West Saanich. We had a fantastic turn out for the event and the menu was a hit all around! It was a blast putting together this menu and the tasting was a huge success….my heartfelt thanks to all who came for it and to my trusty sidekick, Aimee King for helping me pull this off, and Tony Koelwyn for his wine suggestions!
